In June of 2019 Haberhill, LLC and Apollo Global Real Estate purchased the Hyatt Regency Houston at a net purchase price of $100 million.
The Hotel is a 34-floor, atrium-style hotel featuring 955 guestrooms, including 20 suites/parlors, located in the heart of the Houston Central Business District. The property features approximately 71,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 16,000-square-foot ballroom and a 28,000 square feet exhibit hall, and features four food and beverage outlets including Spindletop (Houston’s only revolving rooftop restaurant), Shula’s Steakhouse, Einstein’s Bagels, and the LobbiBar.
A renovation of the existing guest rooms, meeting space and lobby, as well as an expansion of the existing meeting space is planned at an estimated cost of $47M. Expanded meeting space will consist of a new 16,500 square foot ballroom with an additional 7000 square feet of pre-function space, as well as new breakout space. We anticipate completing renovation and expansion by early 2021.
